This is my 4th set of Bridgestone tires on the 08 C14. When I said that I live in the mountains and ride hard......few know what that really means. Here are some photos of what the tires look like after 1,100 miles! I get all the good out of them! haha. Note how the front and rear are worn smooth out all the way to the very edge of the shoulder. The only Chicken Strips left are in the middle of the front tire. Even at that far of a lean angle the pegs don't drag nor to any other hard parts. Knee dragging on a C14....Sweet!

Hey, bud; try a set of Avon Storms, I have them on my C-14, and at 3K miles, they have little wear. A friend of mine in Southern Indiana rides a B-King and toasted his tires in about 3 K miles, he now has another 3K on his Storms, and they are not showing wear, and he is a serious throttle hand.

Sweet thats how tires should be worn out....all over.
Not just bald in the center.

The new C14 handles so well I am not surprised....I loved my ride on one, and it handled like a dream........the two supposedly more sporty bikes that were along on that ride could never keep up to the mighty C14....So I had to stop and wait for them sometimes.
The FZ1 that was on the trip has a deposit down on a C14 now, and iis waiting for it to come in...the FZ1 he had is already sold......He was stunned that a big bike the the concours could pull away easilyfrom the FZ1 any time it wanted to.

I have tried about every tire under the sun over the years and believe me.....none will grip as much as I need and last longer. This post wasn't me griping about tire wear as much as showing that I ride it the way it was meant to be. I would never, ever, ever give up grip for longer tire life! Your buddies tires should last forever in Indiana. I have traveled thru there many times and have never seen a corner.......well, maybe and on ramp. ;)

I thought you would like that. The C14 won't run off and leave the sport bikes in the corners but it is way more bike all around than the average rider is even capable of using.

4th set of tires on your '08 makes me turn around and not even think about owning a C14. It will definitely hurt the bank in the long run. Since you stated that you ride a little aggressive tells us a lot why your tires don't last long enough. I am amazed that you let your tires get worn out like that until you decide to have it changed.

Anyway, sounds like you are having lots of riding fun with your C14. Have fun shopping for new set of tires. Regards.

My only real disappointment with the Concours 14 were the OEM tires. I consider myself an average rider with most of my miles on the two lane roads of SouthEast Missouri. The Bridgestone tires began to show strange wear patterns in less than 2000 miles. At 3500 miles they were no longer safe to ride on.

I replaced them with Michelin Pilot II's. I have seen no decrease in performance. The Pilots stick as well as the Bridgestones did, even in the rain. There has been a huge difference in longevity. The Pilots have 4000 miles on them, on the same roads, in the same heat and over-all conditions and are showing minimal wear at this point.

Hey man I have the same problem. i ride hard even with my girlfriend. My front tire wore before my back tire did. Coming in so hot I figure. Have you tried the Pilot Road 2's yet? I would love to know how they hold up compared to the 021's. I have an Avon Storm on my 750 Turbo right now. Pretty good grip but haven't tried it on the C14 yet..
