Setting the Power Commander for altitude

When you take the bike up to the mountains where the air is a little thinner, would it be worth running an adjusted map?

The bike is set for 500 feet. I have not taken it up to the mountains of New Mexico or Colorado yet. I can only imagine that a map set for 500 feet will not perform as well as a map set at 6000 feet.

I did not try this, but i think it will work. I think bikes are adjusting in normal hight ( lets say 500 feet) IF you are on 6000 your bike will loose some power with original settings and also with PC. It will work but bike will have a little bit less power.

It seems to me that the manifold pressure sensor compensates adequately so you won't need to remap.
